Roca Synod of Bishops

To donate to the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad Synod of Bishops please see information below for the mailing address or wire transfer instructions.  All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law in the United States of America.  After the union of a large portion of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad with the Moscow Patriarchate it was essential for our Church to receive legal status.  Thus, our Synod was incorporated in the state of New York.  Your generous donations are very important as none of our church members receive any salary associated with the Synod.  All donations go toward keeping our Synod functioning at a basic level.  You may donate toward one of our special collections also.  Your generous donations are very much appreciated:

Besides helping towards general operations,  you may want to designate your donations to go toward these special collections:

1.  Synod Building
2.  Clergy Pension
3.  Holy Land Property

Make checks payable to "ROCA Synod of Bishops"
To designate your donations to go towards a special collection, please do so by indicating that,  in the "memo" section of your check.

Dear ROCA members,
Fr. Elias Warnke provided a great blessing for all of us by bringing the myrrh-streaming icon of St. Nicholas to the recent church consecration at Mountain View.  The trip took its toll on his already ailing condition and he was forced to spend some time in a hospital before returning home.  This resulted in significant health care expenses, which are on top of his already high level of medical expenses.
You can help with these expenses by sending a donation either directly to Fr. Elias:
St. Nicholas Icon Foundation
PO Box 36035
Las Vegas, NV 89133
Checks can be made out to the Foundation and are tax deductible, as it is a 501(c)3 non-profit-corporation.
or sending it to the Assistance Fund:

Due to Fr. Elias' condition, his medical costs will continue to grow.  Anyone who would like to make regular donations monthly, etc. can send them to either the above address or the ROCA Assistance Fund.  Thank You.

Monastery in Australia
Dear in Christ, Venerable Archimandrite Alexis,
I wish to congratulate you on the day of your saint, which I understand is St Alexis, the Man of God! May God grant you health and salvation....but no more than five score years!
Secondly, please find attached a brochure and  letter regarding our new hermitage. I still need to collect some funds  ($40,000), but would much prefer them as small, private loans from a number of individuals. Somehow it does not register with people that we are asking for a LOAN.
Do you know of anyone in your parish that might be interested, or would your King Edward’s Assistance Fund be able to aid us for a short time? We will be able to pay back a loan with interest, as Sr Elisabeth is working full-time, and I also will be working soon. Please consider our situation and pray for us!We have very much felt the help of our Saints, whose relics are with us, which is why we have included their icons for the faithful people to pray for this undertaking. I am already committed to buying the property, and am hopeful that God will provide what is needed....It is only with God’s will that a small monastery can be established -  our situation is very tangibly in the hands of God. Please pray also olthat God will send us a novice two, although we are most unworthy of this, as well ... as this beautiful place.
With love in Christ,

Dear in Christ, Father Rector, bless!

The Blessed St. Xenia Memorial Fund has existed for over 30 years.  After the canonization of this exalted righteous woman in 1978, St. Metropolitan Philaret blessed the founding of the Fund in “eternal memory.”  The purpose of the Fund as expressed in the troparion to Blessed St. Xenia was to “serve God and all people.”

Our Fund was the religious center of good works by several generations of
members, and as exemplified by Blessed St. Xenia, it generously provided assistance for the spiritual and material needs of people all over the world: in America,  Argentina, France, Russia, the Holy Land and elsewhere.  It is not possible to list all the countries, monasteries and people which received our prayers and financial support.

Widespread differences in the Church and various spiritual challenges, as well as changes in religious opinion have “extinguished our spirit.”  Our mission has become a task which we can only solve with your assistance, to revive our living, personal relationship of prayer with Blessed St. Xenia.

We ask that you provide a short explanation of the Fund from the ambo and ask the parishioners to make a donation for the needs of the Fund.  Also, please post the attached announcement in a prominent place in your church.  You can also explain that anyone who wants to, may submit names to be added to our memorial book and they will be read at every Sunday liturgy.

We ask your holy prayers,
Elena Bogolubova
